Looking Ahead: What’s Next for Dr. Robin’s School

Hey everyone—it’s Dr. Robin again!

Let’s take a moment to dream together. What are your goals for the school year ahead? What are your hopes for your kids as learners—and as future humans?

I’ve been thinking a lot about that too. And the truth is, this year we’re building more. More support, more classes, more growth. But not in a “check more boxes” kind of way. We’re building more in the way that matters most—deeper learning, bigger thinking, and stronger connection.

When This All Began

Back in 2020, I wasn’t sure this would work.

I knew my own kids could handle learning real science. But I’d seen so many “top students” who were great at memorizing… and not so great at thinking. They could repeat fun facts but struggled to connect ideas or ask meaningful questions.

Still, I gave it a shot.

I decided to teach the way I see science in my head: as a big web of connections. Every topic leads into the next. It’s not about isolated facts—it’s about asking why, how, and what next?

And then one day, a student stopped me mid-lesson to ask:

“Wait. My mom gives me a vitamin every day. Are those minerals… actually from rocks?”

What followed was one of the best conversations I’ve ever had in a classroom. It started with vitamins and ended with plant roots, water evaporation, and kale. And this student? They were connecting dots, drawing conclusions, and learning in the truest sense.

That’s when I knew: this isn’t just possible. It’s powerful.

So What’s Next?

This year, we’re setting our sights higher—together. Here’s what that looks like:

  • What are your goals for the coming school year?
Whether your family is homeschooling, supplementing school, or exploring medical careers—this is a great time to think intentionally. What kind of learner do you want your child to become?
  • More excellent teaching
We’re continuing to teach science the way it should be taught: clearly, creatively, and connected to real life.
  • Added classes
We’re expanding our offerings to meet your kids where they are and help them grow at their own pace.
  • New challenges
We’re designing lessons that stretch thinking, not just memory. Kids will wrestle with ideas and feel proud of what they figure out.
  • Support every step of the way
We’re building in structure, scaffolding, and community—so your kids never feel overwhelmed or lost. This is meant to build confidence, not stress.

The Heart of Our Work

I’ve seen what happens when kids are given real science, real questions, and someone who believes they can rise to the occasion.

This year, we’re doubling down on that.

We’re raising the bar—but we’re doing it with care, clarity, and a whole lot of encouragement. Because every learner deserves the chance to think deeply, ask better questions, and surprise themselves with what they’re capable of.

Watch your inbox—there’s more coming soon. And thank you, as always, for being part of this.

Talk soon,
Dr. Robin
