What Is MedPath—and Why We’re Changing Dr. Robin’s School

Hey friends—Dr. Robin here!

If you’ve been following along, you know big things are happening around here. We’re reworking how we teach science, and it’s all leading toward something we’re calling MedPath.

So what is MedPath? And why are we moving in this new direction?

Let me take you back to where this all started.

The Problem with “One and Done”

When I first began teaching premed science to kids, I thought I could just pack the essentials into one big course. One year, maybe two. Boom—done.

I mean… that’s how science is usually taught, right?

But I quickly realized how wrong that approach was.

Some students were flying through the material and asking, “How does this actually show up in medicine?”

Others were just getting started and needed more time, more support, and shorter lessons.

And across the board, families were asking for more: more structure, more levels, more flexibility.

That’s when it hit me.

We’d never teach reading or writing this way. Imagine telling a kindergartner, “You learned to write a sentence—great, you’re done writing forever!”

But that’s often how science is treated: as a subject you learn once, instead of a way of thinking you return to again and again.

And it shows. Most adults don’t know much more about their five senses than they did in first grade—not because they couldn’t learn more, but because they were never given the chance to revisit those ideas on a deeper level.

Introducing MedPath

MedPath is our answer to that problem.

It’s a multi-level learning path that gives kids the tools to grow with science over time—layer by layer, question by question, year by year.

It’s not about rushing. It’s about building a foundation for thinking, exploring, and eventually applying science in real-life situations.

What Makes MedPath Different

Every student will get their own login, and they’ll work at the level that’s right for them—not where a curriculum says they “should” be.

Here’s what that looks like:

  • 🟢 MedPath Foundations
Short, hands-on lessons using the Anatomy Coloring Book—perfect for new or younger learners.
  • 🟡 Level 1: MedPath – Essentials of Human Health
A guided tour through the body’s systems, with an emphasis on vocabulary, visuals, and making sense of how it all works.
  • 🟠 Level 2: MedPath – Foundations of Clinical Biology
A bridge between learning facts and thinking clinically, this level introduces case-based learning and builds systems thinking.
  • 🔴 Level 3: MedPath – Comprehensive Medical Biology
Real-world clinical reasoning, medical relevance, and one-on-one feedback to support deeper exploration.

And the best part?
Your child can start where they are—and move forward at their own pace.

Why It Matters

MedPath isn’t just another science course. It’s a flexible, thoughtful path that meets learners where they are—and gives them space to grow.

Because the real magic happens when kids start asking their own questions. When they’re curious. When they feel challenged, supported, and seen.

That’s what we’re building.
And I’m so proud to be building it with you.Talk soon,
Dr. Robin
